MM2 of The Locust Taser Guide

Use the MM2 of The Locust taser as an escape tool: verify the live item, choose a safe firing lane, create distance, and recover from failure.

The taser-like equipment reported in MM2 of The Locust is best treated as a route-making tool. Its value is not the moment the Locust stops; its value is the doorway, corner, objective, or teammate escape you reach before the threat resumes. Exact duration, range, charges, cooldown, and acquisition source are not first-party confirmed.

Verify the current item first

Read the live equipment name and description. Check whether the item is selected, whether an aim or target indicator appears, and whether the icon shows charges or a cooldown. The official experience description says new equipment powers are planned, so an older video may not match the current slot or effect.

Do not adopt a precise five-second duration or numerical range from a commercial walkthrough. Those values were not confirmed by Roblox or the creator for the checked build. Time the effect in your own server only if you can do so without risking teammates, and record the update date with the result.

Choose a firing lane

Use a corridor or doorway where the Locust is clearly visible and the shot is not blocked by teammates or geometry. Avoid firing through a crowded group. Stand near a second route so a miss does not leave you trapped. Select the item before the threat reaches the final corner; opening the inventory during contact wastes the opportunity.

If the game uses a target radius or camera aim, keep the monster within the displayed indicator. Do not infer that a visual crosshair guarantees range. Wait for the live ready state and use one deliberate activation.

Best moments to use it

Use the taser when the Locust commits to a narrow chase, when a key carrier needs to cross an exposed route, when a teammate is about to lose distance, or when an objective interaction needs a brief safety window. In each case, know the next movement before you fire.

Avoid using it at maximum uncertain distance, through a corner, or just to test an animation during a live objective. A defensive item spent without a route can delay the threat without improving the round.

What to do after activation

Move immediately toward solid geometry. Break sight, change elevation, or enter a connected loop. Tell the supported teammate which direction is open. Do not crowd the stunned monster, and do not assume the effect prevents every ability or attack until the current build demonstrates it.

If you are protecting a key carrier, let them go first through the narrow point while you take another lane. If you are alone, choose the route that gives two future exits rather than the nearest hiding place.

Recover from a miss or failed effect

Treat the item as unavailable and execute the normal chase route. Do not stop to fire repeatedly unless the UI clearly shows another ready charge. After safety, check four causes: the item was not selected, the monster was out of range, geometry blocked the action, or the item was on cooldown or empty.

PRE-ALPHA bugs are also possible. Retry once in a later safe situation with the item state visible. If the same failure repeats, capture platform, role, map landmark, target distance, and HUD. Rejoining is a last step because it ends your current progress.

PC, mobile, and console handling

PC players should use the binding shown by the current equipment slot, not a guessed mouse button. Mobile players should position the item button where it is visible and confirm that chat or another overlay is not covering it. Console players should follow the displayed controller glyph. No official cross-platform taser binding chart was available on August 27.

Test selection and aim outside a chase. Save activation for a useful situation unless the item clearly has unlimited practice use. The Controls guide covers platform input troubleshooting.

Taser decisions at a glance

Good use

A committed chase in a clear lane with a planned corner or objective beyond it.

Weak use

An uncertain long shot with no route after activation.

Team use

Open one lane for the carrier and announce it before firing.

Bug recovery

Escape first, inspect selection and ready state, then reproduce once safely.

What still needs testing

The official item name, acquisition source, cost, exact range, stun or interruption duration, charge count, cooldown, monster immunity rules, and behavior after elimination all need current in-game testing. Do not let those unknown fields dominate the round: the useful, supported strategy is to verify the live item and convert its effect into movement.

Confidence

Taser presence and defensive use are Community reported for the target experience. Planned equipment work is Official. All exact values remain Needs in-game testing.
