MM2 of The Locust is a Roblox survival experience built around an uneven round: a player-controlled monster hunts while the other players try to stay alive and escape. Roblox classifies the experience as Survival / 1 vs All, and the creator currently labels it PRE-ALPHA. That combination should shape your first session. Learn the lobby, the role shown to you, the map’s safe loops, and the current action buttons before relying on a fixed route or a remembered keybind.

Official identity: use Roblox Place ID 113385977463481, created by THE STALKERS OG. “House of The Locust” is a different experience, and normal Murder Mystery 2 rules do not automatically apply here.

What is confirmed before you play

The official Roblox listing confirms the exact title, creator, Place and Universe identities, a maximum server size of 30, and the Survival / 1 vs All classification. Its description places the player inside the Locust’s nest and asks whether they can escape. It also warns players to expect bugs and says game improvements, upcoming maps, and new equipment powers are planned for the next update.

Those facts establish the broad match. They do not lock down a permanent room order, a complete controls list, a fixed number of keys, a guaranteed monster-selection method, or an exact escape sequence. Current public gameplay reporting shows keys, hiding routes, a taser-like defensive item, revive UI, map voting, and a player-controlled Locust. Those details are Community reported for the August 27 build and should be checked against the interface in your server.

Your first-round routine

Start in the lobby by locating the map-vote area, any role or loadout panels, and the current control hints. Do not spend currency or select a paid option just because a guide from another version shows it. Wait for the round transition and read every role message before moving. The most costly beginner error is acting on an assumed role while the current UI is telling you something different.

If you are a survivor, make a short loop near your starting area. Identify one junction, one line-of-sight break, and one route back toward other players. Search rooms methodically rather than sprinting through every doorway. Community footage and reporting show keys as route objectives, but the current spawn pattern and required order have not been confirmed as fixed. Treat each key as information: note its color or label, where it came from, and what prompt changes after collection.

If you are the monster, pause long enough to find the attack and ability buttons before committing to a chase. A current walkthrough reports a regular attack and a special action, while mobile players may see a different or incomplete-looking control layout. Test in open space, follow the label displayed in your UI, and avoid treating a PC key from one video as universal.

How to survive a chase

Distance is useful only when it leads somewhere. Run toward a route with at least two exits, turn around solid corners to break sight, and change elevation when the map supports it. Do not empty your escape options by running into a one-door room. When you lose visual contact, move again before choosing a hiding place; entering a nearby locker or corner while the monster watched you do it is not concealment.

Use other players as information, not as shields. Their movement can reveal the monster’s direction, an open route, or an active objective. Following a crowd blindly can also pull the Locust into the same corridor and leave everyone without space. In a group, announce the landmark you are leaving and the direction of the threat. Short messages such as “monster at lower hall” are easier to act on than a long explanation during a chase.

How to learn a map without fixed coordinates

Build a route from stable visual anchors: a distinctive room, a staircase, a long hall, a vent entrance, a courtyard, or a lower level. At each junction, remember the next anchor rather than only “left” or “right,” because you may approach from the opposite side later. Separate three map facts in your head: an objective location, a place that breaks sight, and a dead end. They solve different problems.

Keys and secret routes are especially sensitive to updates. A PRE-ALPHA map can move a pickup, close a shortcut, or replace a room. The safest guide pattern is therefore “start at this visible landmark, check these nearby surfaces, then take this recovery loop.” The Maps hub applies that pattern to keys, hiding places, voting, and secret areas without claiming permanent coordinates.

Equipment and recovery decisions

A current game-specific walkthrough shows a taser used to interrupt the Locust and a revive option after elimination. It does not provide enough first-party evidence to freeze the stun duration, range, charges, price, or revive cost. Before using either, read the live item card or prompt. A defensive item is most valuable when it converts danger into a route: create space, turn the corner, regroup, or finish an objective. Firing only because the item is available can leave you without an answer when the Locust commits.

Treat revive as a decision, not a reflex. Check whether the round is still active, whether teammates are progressing, what the button charges, and what state you return in. If the match is almost over or the server is unstable, saving the resource may be better. The Taser guide and Revive guide separate confirmed actions from values that need a live UI check.

PRE-ALPHA bugs and a clean recovery

When an input or item fails, step away from the immediate chase and retry once with the on-screen prompt visible. If the same action still fails, capture the game version or update time, platform, role, map area, and exact state. Rejoining can clear a stuck character or interface, but it can also end the current round and should not be your first response to an ordinary cooldown.

Do not build a permanent strategy around a glitch. Public gameplay has shown unexpected monster behavior, and the official page explicitly warns about bugs. Separate “the rule works this way” from “this happened in one server.” If a repeatable change appears after an update, use the Updates hub to confirm whether the official description changed before treating it as intentional.

Watch a current round before joining

This directly relevant gameplay video shows the target experience and is useful for recognizing its scale, the player-controlled threat, lobby flow, and the pace of a public round. Treat buttons and prices visible in the recording as a dated snapshot, not a permanent specification.

Where to continue

Read the Survival hub when you want a survivor route, escape plan, or defensive-item decision. Use Monsters for Locust abilities, controls, and role access. Use Maps when the immediate problem is a key, hiding route, vote, or secret area. Check Codes only for the verified redemption status; no working code or confirmed redemption interface is published there without a live or official source.
